Week Three: Macro

To do macro photography right, you are supposed to have special lenses a special set up, and — from the examples I see — easily availability to very cooperative insects! I had to settle for some half dead flowers, the eyes of some beanie babies, a jelly bean and my dog (technically probably not a macro picture, but too cute to not share here!)

I actually took some awesome macro pictures in summer 2010, of bumblebees in our back yard. Not sure what happened to this poor bee, but whatever it was left him hanging…

This guy must have died happy- check out the pollen on his body/legs
